Verdikt (“we”, “us”) operates cityverdikt.com, a city intelligence service for Muslim travelers. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account data. If you create an account: your email address, a display name if you set one, and a securely hashed password. We use this to operate your account, saved cities, and itinerary history.

City requests.If you request a city we don't cover yet, we store the email you provide so we can notify you when it's added.

Payments. Itinerary purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record. Your card details go directly to Lemon Squeezy and never touch our servers. We store the purchase record (city, dates, the email used at checkout) to deliver your itinerary.

Device storage.We use your browser's local storage for your theme preference (dark/light) and, if you sign in, a session token. These stay on your device.

Advertising

We may show ads served by Google Ad Manager. Ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads; where required by law, ads are only personalised with your consent. We exclude categories incompatible with our audience (alcohol, gambling, adult content, dating) from our ad inventory.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Umami) to understand aggregate traffic — no cookies and no personal data. We also use Google Analytics 4, which is loaded under Google Consent Mode: until you accept cookies it runs in a cookieless mode, and only sets analytics cookies once you consent via the banner. You can change your choice any time through “Cookie preferences” in the footer.

Affiliate partners

Some links to hotels, airport transfers, eSIMs, and tours are affiliate links — if you book through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We work with the Travelpayouts affiliate network, which loads a small script to attribute bookings to us; it may set cookies for that purpose. These links are clearly marked, and using them is entirely optional.

Third-party services

Prayer times are fetched in your browser from the AlAdhan API; halal spot maps load tiles from OpenStreetMap; video thumbnails load from YouTube. These providers see your IP address as part of serving those requests, as any website resource does. Affiliate links (e.g. HalalBooking, Booking.com) take you to third-party sites governed by their own policies.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal data. We don't use your email for anything you didn't ask for. We don't track you across other websites.

Your rights

You can ask us to export or delete your account data at any time. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA or UK under GDPR), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or object to processing of your data.
